Robbi
How are the dates of Easter in the RC Church determined, seemingly as it changes every year? My uncle is Orthodox, so his Easter is a month later this year. How do the Orthodox also determine there Easter dates? Thankyou & God Bless Rob
Cam42
Easter is traditionally the first Sunday after the vernal equinox. That is Roman Catholic. I am not sure about the Orthodox, but it has been explained that it is tied to the first Sunday after the vernal equinox and the first Sunday beyond Passover. Hence the difference this year. Don't quote me, but I think that is how it works. I know that the RC answer is correct, it is the Orthodox that confuses me. Cam
