littleflower+JMJ
hey well on one of hte bands im checking to make sure their catholic before anything else.... as for catholic punk....haven't found it yet.....closest i could get was slickshoes.... i use to listen to strung out, face to face, lagwagon, millencolin, the ataris, no use for a name, mxpx, etc.etc. but only two of those were "christian" so i pretty much dropped them... anyways..hopefully i can make sure the band i have in mind is catholic for reals. (and not just "christian") do you like all that hard stuff? thats why i like punk, its stays happy. :D anyways i be sure to send it to you if it happens to be a winner. God bless! +JMJ
ICTHUS
Yes. I like that hard stuff. "Spirit Fall, on this land, convicting power, flowing through Man, reveal Truth, to blind eyes Rip the scales from their sight!! Annointing fall on this...place! Arise, be made new, in the fulness of His Truth. Repent, and believe, in His grace, you'll be free! Holy Spirit, be Thee praised!!" - Living Sacrifice "Spirit Fall"

marielapin
Are the White Stripes Catholic? I haven't heard that they are. Of course there are the lyrics from Hotel Yorba: "I wanna get married - in a big cathedral by a priest, and if I'm the man that you love the most than you'll say I do at least"... That made me wonder, but besides the picture from the booklet of White Blood Cells of Jesus's wounded hand I haven't seen/heard anything afterwards to make me think they are. Guest jrob8503
Jack White is Catholic but says he is not very religious. That's a bit too broad of an answer. I went to Church every week including holy days of obligation but never considered myself to be religious. I really didn't pray or do the extra stuff. However, there are people out there who might have considered me overly religious. I've also heard he bows to a fiber-opitc Mary during concerts and bought the guy from the Flaming Lips a fiber-optic Jesus. I just picked up tickets to their New Year's Eve show in Chicago. :P Edited November 4, 2003 by jrob8503
attractingopposites26
hey, this is a shout out for all you punk lovers, this is a punk song that i wrote as a shout out to my youth group, sup to all the antiochers out there, tell me what you think, it's called "happy place": see you walkin on down that lonely street leading you nowhere stop you where you stand take you by the hand lead you far from here take you to someplace new where noone judges you but shows that they care here you have found your peace and you will know at least i"ll always...be with you...right here chorus: cause here you've found your happy place, puts a smile on your face always.......yeah here you can dance and sing and if you're ever feeling lonely.....i..will..be..there here in this special place you can feel free to chase all your fantasies and if you ever stumble feel like your dreams'll crumble i'll put your mind at ease if you just ask me i'll fulfill your every need or do the best i can just put on your happy face no more need for you to pace cause i'm your biggest fan chorus so what do ya think? catch ya on the flip side.
