eastern catholic

can anyone tell me about the Eastern Catholics? i have only learned about them a few times but want to know more. why are they so un heard of? all i ever hear about is the Roman church.... but now ive learned about eastern churches being as Catholic as the roman church. any facts, links, info, quotes, history, etc.. woudl be great! thank you very much

There are only about 20 million Eastern Catholics throughout the world, compared to over 1 billion Latin Catholics, and so that is why you don't hear much about Eastern Churches that are in communion with the Pope.
