Paladin D
It's in one of St. Paul's writings, but he said that there are five offices "Apostle, prophet, teacher, evanglist and preacher"??? Someone argued that since prophet is an office, that it's considered like a spiritual liturgical office. What the heck? I really really really hate the confusion of Protestantism. I'm sweating and this smells of elderberries.
Paphnutius
We are all called to share in Christ's offices of Priest, Prophet, and King at baptism. Don't know if that will help with protestants, but that is how we look at it. Prophetic gift is insight not foresight.
CarpeDiem88
Again, I have no choice but to agree. If there is so much confusion with this, why not ask a Protestant why.
