Aloysius
ooo I looove that movie! "And shepherds we shall be For Thee, my Lord, for Thee For power hath decended forth from Thy Hand That our feet may swiftly carry out thy command And flowing a river forth unto Thee Teeming with souls shall it ever be In nomine Patri, et Fillio, et Spiritui Sancto" now, because they held no authority such as a state would hold they technically were wrong in their little vigilante justice scheme, but I still think it was a pretty cool movie. Aloysius
I just watched it again I really like this movie. I at least do sympathize with their cause. can't wait for "Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day".. it's in production but again, Catechism et cetera opposes such vigilante justice as they don't have the authority. but to me: I'd rather see a movie that admits the Catholic possibility for just violence than some sissy pacifist Catholic movie. I love the Boondock Saints. Their self defence action at the beginning was good, then technically they went off the edge into vigelante justice. i sympathize and enjoyed the movie, but wouldn't techinically condone such actions. Zoecool13
My Most favorite movie of all time. I've been trying to watch it again in honor of St. Patrick's Day, but have been too occupied with the NCAA tournament. As long as you understand that it's entertainment, it's a great mob movie...(where the good guys are Catholic, and not mobsters) By the way, has anyone heard about the sequal to this movie? "All Saints Day" is what it was supposed to be called. Last i heard was the script was finally finished, and that they were closing a deal for budget. In Nomeni Patri Et Fili Spiritus Sancti Joe
IXpenguin21
yeah. it's a good movie. the church would NEVER aprove of that type of thing, but nevertheless, the inspirational aspect of it is very large.
