Jake Huether
Where was she? She was with them basically right after he'd been "captured", so she must have been near the house that Jesus and the 12 had the first Mass at. I'll bet she was praying the Rosary for him! Well, okay, maybe not the Rosary. But she probably was praying for him! What do yall think.
Aloysius
wasn't it shown somehow that Mary was at the last supper? or is that one of those crazy lie/rumors that gets thrown around all over the place?

Probably one of the "lie/rumors". Jesus was with the 12. Unless Mary snuck upstairs and was hiding in the closet. That was going to be my next guess. jmjtina
Praying the Rosary?! She was living the rosary, especially the Sorrowful mysteries! We may meditate upon the mysteries of the Rosary, but she lived them! Has anyone read "The Dolores Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ" by Bl. Anne Catherine Emerich? (as a sidenote, Mel Gibsons movie is based on this book) Jake, this book tells alot of what happened in between. His mother's interior union with his agony was so entire that she had fainted in the arms of her two friends. (The exact time isn't stated, but it stated it was in the agony in the garden.) Pilates wife also sees the anguish of HIs Mother and her perfect resignation. it also tells of the Blessed Mother using linens to clean the sacred blood of Jesus after the scorging as well as go to each spot which had been sanctified by the sufferings of her Son, in order to bedew them with her tears; and this "did the Mother of our Lord, in the name of the Church, take possession of those holy places." (This is where I am sure the sorrowful Mysteries came into play!) This book is just so cool, and so perfect. How about an early Christmas present for yourself? it has more stuff, but that was what I found around the agony of the garden. This book is amesome. I highly recommend it! B) My sis just said this book was all online. I'm going to find it! ;) Edited November 1, 2003 by jmjtina
Anna
Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich isn't the only mystic to reveal Our Lady's participation in the Last Supper and Passion of Our Lord. Blessed Mary of Agreda, in The Mystical City of God, also details the perfect resignation and cooperation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in these Sacred Mysteries. Although Our Blessed Mother was not physically present at the Last Supper, she was permitted to receive the Most Blessed Sacrament, delivered to her by an angel as she spiritually meditated on the Pasch that Jesus and the Apostles were observing together. And the Blessed Sacrament remained with her throughout Our Lord's Passion and Death. Our Lady shared in Christ's sufferings, per her request, for it would have been more torturous for her to watch Him suffer alone, than to suffer along with Him. She hid her face in her veil when her facial features became disfigured with pain, and kept her hands covered when blood ran through her fingers. This Most Loving of Mothers also was granted the power to command satan and his legion, and she pulled them to the foot of the Cross as with great chains and held them fast to witness the Salvation of Sinners. They shrieked and wailed and writhed, attempting to free themselves, wishing that they could hurl themselves into the deepest abysses of hell, just to escape the Holiness on Golgatha. Seatbelt Blue
Probably one of the "lie/rumors". Jesus was with the 12. Unless Mary snuck upstairs and was hiding in the closet. That was going to be my next guess. All it says was that He was with His "disciples;" whether or not that is intended to refer to the Twelve or not, I cannot say. B) My sis just said this book was all online. I'm going to find it! We were discussing her on another list. One of the details about her writings was interesting. When Catherine Emmerich was being studied by the Church her writings were specifically excluded from consideration by the Bishops because they were dictated to a secretary who is suspected of inserting some his own thoughts and order in the writings. She was a stigmatist. Here is an article on appariations and revelations by Father Most. http://www.ewtn.com/library/SCRIPTUR/DISSPR.TXT
