God Conquers
Does anyone know any information about a movie coming out soon based on a play called "Corpus Christi"? I recieved an email witht his petition from a friend who sent it to his list. Someone else on his list sent a large email back to everyone denouncing a) the fact that it was sent around, b)the petition as a hoax and c) the supposed "mob mentality" which was triggered by the email. I'd just like anything you guys can give me about the movie or play. Apparently the email was a hoax.... but I can't be sure just from This Site Thanks a bunch, Matt
Dave
I'd just like anything you guys can give me about the movie or play.
Here in the States, the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights has really raised a stink about "Corpus Christi." In the play, a gay Jesus has sex with the apostles. In one part "Christ" proclaims to all the apostles that they are divine and then exclaims, "F--- your mother, f--- your father, f--- God." And in another part Philip turns to "Jesus" and asks him to perform fellatio.
MichaelFilo
May God send whoever wrote that play into a specially prepared pit in Hell. May Mary and the Saints pray for him, and hopefully I may find some reason to do so. May God beaver dam his soul to the deepest trenches of Hell, Mikey
Paphnutius
All that after you just wrote about curses? I find it better to commend him to God's mercy rather than anathmatize him.
MichaelFilo
Yes, I guess it would be easy to speak, it isn't your Sacred Heart that is offended. Nor are you the Threeness in the Oneness who has been depicted as the most immoral thing to be seen. These people have cursed themselves, and if he chooses to repent and change, that is good, and he will be prayed for. However, I don't think there is a much better place for his likes then the deepest pits of Hell. It is a curse that is warrented, and any Saint would kill the man for making such a play, and God has set a place for those who deny Him. My wishing that God's Will be done isn't wrong, but appropriate. God bless, Mikey
Guest Eremite
"Pray for your enemies, and do good to those who persecut you. By doing so, you will reap burning coals upon their head." These people need serious prayers and penances. This, if true, is demonic.
Paphnutius
Any saint would kill him?! My, my. I dont think that St. Francis, St. Benedict, St. Joeseph, St. Therese, Gregory the Great, any of them would of killed him. Might I just add that I am glad that God will sit on judgment of our sins and not you. Where do you think you can say that a person should be damend to hell? Leave vengence to the Lord for it is His! MichaelFilo
In the times of those Saints the closest thing to blasphemy was disbelief fromt hose who were educate din teh right way, or lax morales. Even the pagans didn't mock Jesus like this man has. I hardly am handing out judgement, but asking God to give each man what he deserves, and a man who can make such a play is not repentent but knows about the life of Christ, and so rejects Him. Rejecting our Lord, even you would admit, is a damnable thing. God bless, Mikey
cmotherofpirl
If God gave each of us what we deserve we would all be in hell already. To make people as angry as you have become. It is best not to entertain these thoughts because you are essentialy giving in to them. But to say a saint would kill this man betrays your faith. And is frightening really to even think, that an evil act such as murder somehow is justified by a blasphemous act.

argent_paladin
Not to condone Michael's bloodthirsty sentement, but sometimes God rewards homicidal zeal:
7(I)When Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he arose from the midst of the congregation and took a spear in his hand, 8and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and pierced both of them through, the man of Israel and the woman, through the body. (J)So the plague on the sons of Israel was checked. 9(K)Those who died by the plague were 24,000. The Zeal of Phinehas 10Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 11"(L)Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned away My wrath from the sons of Israel in that he was jealous with My jealousy among them, so that I did not destroy the sons of Israel (M)in My jealousy. 12"Therefore say, '(N)Behold, I give him My (O)covenant of peace; 13and it shall be for him and his descendants after him, a covenant of a (P)perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his God and (Q)made atonement for the sons of Israel.'"
