cmotherofpirl
There are no divorced Christians, no matter how much they want to admit it. They are all adulterers who are unrepentant.
wrong
popestpiusx
Cmom, I am quite certain that he is referring to those who have divorced and re-married. If one is divorced but living celibate, they are merely separated in the eyes of God and His Church. Those who have received an annulment and re-married were, so long as the facts of the case were presented accurately and the tribunal actually investigated them, never married in the first place and are therefore not adulterers. They are not even divorced, except according to the civil courts. So strictly speaking, Michael is right. Christians don't divorce. It's nearly impossible. Only two cases, the Pauline and Petrine privledge, can a marriage be dissolved. Apart from those exceptionally rare cases, if the marriage ever was, it must always be. jiyoung
i'm in the OC diocese right below them...urgh. i don't know the state of my own diocese's orthodoxy and stuff. i know the korean catholic circuit tends to be protestantized though. very based on feelings...that was my downfall for a long time. but something struck home when a friend said that religion is mainly practice, despite lack of feelings... my church wants to call our praise night "Jesus and Me" but i'm protesting that because it sounds too protestant...you know, not needing the hierarchy and all?
