Paladin D
Amen. Poor overall quality. Very little catechatical content (4-6 are very prolife), over-use of graphics, poorly developed characters really with no point of even being in the film....the list goes on.
When the classics were first released, they featured the most stunning special effects at the time, pretty much revolutionized the art of film making since then. To say that the prequels "overly use graphics", you would then have to admit the same with the classics. Episode III was entirely filmed indoors, much of it with bluescreen (except for like one or two shots). The only objection that I really have with the prequels, when it comes to the CGI/FX, is the constant reliance on digitalized sets. Many of these sets could've been built (and which I would've prefered), but it takes more time and money to do it that way. The prequels have their weaknesses, but I wouldn't call them failures. The kids who grow up with these three films, will probally have a slightly more attachment to the prequels than to the classics, simply because they grew up with them and it's more of a memorial or nostaglia type thing.
Hopefully he won't have a line as horrid as his "I don't like sahnd it gets ahvreewhaa" line from Episode 2. I just about wanted to double over laughing in the theater when I heard that one.
