_bc
I have a friend who is born hindu, and raised by hindus in a muslim country where any non-muslim religious information is censored. She nows next to nothing about Christianity - recently even asked me if it was true that some Christians believed Jesus was God. This girl is interested in learning about Christianity, and I want to try and smuggle a book to her. (She's not looking to convert, just to learn - yet.) It has to be a book that starts from the _absolute_ basics, and lays them out in an interesting way, preferably with some social and historical relations. It would be better if it were not openly partial to any denomination, allthough a Catholic slant is obviously far preferable to a protestant one. So does anyone know of such a book? Any suggestions off the top of your head would be welcome. bc.
