I have to disagree on Bishop Flynn being on that list.
RICHMOND,Virginia, July 12, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Diocese of Richmond's newly appointed bishop, Francis X. DiLorenzo has delighted faithful Catholics in what has been until recently one of the more dissident dioceses in the US. The Richmond diocese has been ruled by extreme liberal bishop William Sullivan for 29 years. Sullivan, considered one of the most left-leaning US bishops, has retired at the normal retirement age of 75.

Bishop Allen Vigneron, Oakland, CA

http://www.oakdiocese.org/notes.htm

First Things lists him as a member of the class of young bishops with a bright future:
"Not in any particular order, the list includes: Bishop William Lori of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver, Colorado; Bishop Allen Vigneron of Oakland, California; Bishop Thomas Olmstead of Phoenix, Arizona; Bishop Samuel Aquila of Fargo, North Dakota; Bishop Peter Sartain of Little Rock, Arkansas; Auxiliary Bishop José Gomez of Denver; Archbishop Sean O’Malley of Boston, Massachusetts; Bishop Leonard Blair of Toledo, Ohio; Archbishop John Myers of Newark, New Jersey; Bishop Robert J. McManus of Worcester, Massachusetts; Archbishop Timothy Dolan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Archbishop Joseph Naumann of Kansas City, Kansas. They are, along with Cardinal George, the emerging leadership of the American bishops, or so I am told by people whose judgment I respect. No doubt, to the extent their leadership is effective, there are many others who will come to the fore in the years ahead. But, if there is to be a vibrantly collegial reception of the deep reforms—spiritual, catechetical, evangelistic, pastoral—proposed by this pontificate, these are the bishops who are notably eager to let the Spirit make it happen."

He is a learned, good and holy man.

Blessed Be God!!!

This is awesome...our Bishop, Bishop Joeseph Delaney, Had sever cancer, but he still is very strong to our diocese. He reminds me of Pope J.P. II in a way with his struggles is what our Bishop is going through...I mean our Bishop was suppose to die acouple of years back or had a less than 20% chance to live but he's still here with us! Ok that's all...I love our Bishops and Cardnials!!! ^_^

God Bless
Jason Gregory

Honestly This thread could easily lead to bad things such as gossip. I adjure you to only speak of your Bishop in a positive light.

(Not that I think that any one should hide the truth, but unecessary gossip/backbitting is harmful to all involved)

I totally agree. St. Ignatius of Antioch said that we should be obedient to our bishops in everything. Regardless of whether or not you like your bishop, he is a successor of the Apostles and is due respect. You might legitimately disagree with him, but he is an Apostle, you are not.
