Cathedrals

I know cathedrals are not a big touristy thing in the US like they are in Latin America and in Europe, but they are the most important building in every diocese right? Give a shout out for your diocese and post a pic of your local cathedral if you can!!!

This is St. Louis Cathedral, Archdiocese of New Orleans

Thomas Michael

St. Patrick's Cathedral, Fort Worth, Texas.

The inside has been restored beautifully... and it's a protestant's nightmare with plenty of statues! :D

I've also been to St. Patrick's in New York City (real elegant) and Guardian Angel Cathedral in Las Vegas (real avant-garde)... but my favorite has to be St. Paul's Cathedral in St. Paul, Minnesota.

We have two "cathedrals" in the Archdiocese of St. Louis:

1. The Basilica of St. Louis, King of France (called the "Old Cathedral")

2. Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (also called the "New Cathedral"). Absolutly beautiful, the entire inside is full of mosaics.
