Chiquitunga
I don't want to start a new thread for this, but I want to know you guys' opinion on this if you've read the Diary of St. Faustina... It seems like almost everyone Faustina lived with in the convent was so cruel and proud. There were so few exceptions. Do you think that God was working through them to humble Faustina, or were they really not striving for holiness? I'm only about 1/3 of the way through, so I don't know if this is answered later in the book or not. What's your opinion?
hmm... I think a little of both .. very interesting observation. In The Way of Divine Love by Sr. Josefa Menendez, which I'm recommending highly here, actually she did not really have these trials from her sisters like St. Faustina. Her trials were much more only spiritual - St. Faustina really had both! Edited December 3, 2006 by Margaret Clare
Totus Tuus
Transformation in Christ, by Deitrich Von Hildebrand. Excellent book; has been compared to a modern-day Imitation of Chris, though much larger and more philosophically-minded. It is a good book for discernment. brendan1104
I read it last month, it was more of the early life and history of the order, than a life of Dominic though.
