Jake Huether
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...m/egypt_baby_dc Is the "head" actually another human soul? Is it wrong to seperate the twins knowing that the "parasitic" twin will surly die? I'm curious as to what is the morally correct thing to do? God bless. AngelofJesus
We are embodied souls. One body, one soul. In this case if the parasitic twin is able to survive by it's own, it would have it's own soul, but in this case it is a head with a brain dependent on one body. THe one body with one soul. In this case, it would be like removing a limb. IMHO. (It does not mean that I don't feel distraught for the other head, it's just that reasoning it out like this makes it easy to accept. I mean it smiles for pete's sake.)
Brother Adam
right. It is an extra limb in all reality. The soul does not reside in the brain as angelofjesus pointed out. I'm glad that little girl got the surgery.
God Conquers
Wow.... Hey Jake, good to see you by the way, it's been a while. Ya, I wouldn't worry, I'd say it would be a case similar to an ectopic prgnancy.
Dave
When I first read about that last week, I must admit I never even thought about any possible moral implications. Bad Dave. But I'm glad Jake brought it up and that you brilliant people were able to answer his question.
