Full Plenary Remission

"full plenary remission" is in reference to indulgences. there are two types: partial and plenary. a plenary indulgence remits the entire temporal punishment due to sin so that no further expiation is required in purgatory. a partial indulgence remits only a certain portion of the penalty. so, "full plenary remission" would be the entire remission of temporal punishment by a plenary indulgence.

an indulgence can only be given after one's sins are forgiven through the sacrament of reconciliation. once this has taken place, the church can perscribe certain acts of charity that will allow us to receive "full plenary remission" of temporal punishment. go [url="http://www.ourladyswarriors.org/indulge/plenary.htm"][b]here[/b][/url] for a list of these acts.

People should save souls from Purgatory if they cant think of any one else to offer it for.

Actually, the only people you can offer up an indulgence for are those in purgatory OR yourself. You can't offer an indulgence for any other living person.
