jgirl
As to what kind of French lit I am studying, it's whatever my department offers that isn't existentialist or obscene or overly Marxist. That being said, I love the early 20th century French Catholic writers (Mauriac, Bernanos, Jammes, Claudel, etc.). I actually love that entire group regardless of where they are from, especially Flannery O'Connor. My other big interest is post-colonial literature from Africa and the Carribbean. I find it incredible how the people were forced to give up their cultures to adopt a French model and how they react against it. Oh yeah, I also think the "crazy" medieval mystics are cool (not especially French, but when you have people like Christina the Astonishing, it doesn't matter where they are from!) desertwoman
Me too!
Really? Do you know what your focus is going to be? I'm torn really. I feel like a fish out of water. Plus, I'm doing one of my assignments right now. I have a short attention span, so phatmass is a good thing for me. It allows me to soak in my juices before I begin to type again.

The problem is...all the cool techie classes aren't available online.

I'm attending USC (University of South Carolina) Long distance courses. It's fairly good. I'm taking a techie class right now that is all online. I view the classes, powerpoints, and what not. It is convient, but I do miss being in a classroom setting. I think I'm going to lean towards Media I guess. I'm a big music fan and movie fan as well. I work at the Circulation desk at the Library in charleston. It's pretty cool meeting another Librarian in the works. Keep up the good work, it will pay off in the end Praise God. Cam42
I am currently on hiatus from my MA. I am/was a student in Theology. Will I go back? Won't I go back? Do I want to go back? Who knows, but I phatmass whenever I can. Cam42
