How do you explain the Rosary...

I focus on the mystery and simply say the words of the Hail Mary.

Oh, I remember what someone told me. The Hail Mary is like the background music.

here is how i normally explain the repeating the prayers part....

let's say you get married this weekend. on your wedding night you tell your spouse "i love you" before you fall asleep. now the next morning you wake up and say to your spouse and say "i love you". then your spouse turns to you, slaps you in the face and says "You already said that! That's just repitition!" is that likely? no way!!! repitition, when the words are meant can be very beautiful!!! hopefully you would want to constantly repeat such beautiful words. like the angels in Heaven, who according to the book of Revelation are constantly crying out "Holy, Holy, Holy" before the Lamb. Is it just repitition??? no it is a beautiful thing. and each time we say the Hail Mary we should fall more in love with Jesus and Mary.

Insofar as that is the case, you have just told me how to explain the rosary.

Focus on the life of Christ.....and use prayers as markers.
