In fact, it might be an opportunity to get this person to either repent or at least tarnish his/her credibility so that if he/she tries it again on someone else, the future false accusations will be less likely to be believed. [/quote] OK, so it's a case of "malicious gossip". What about bringing this to the attention of the pastor so that he can insert in one of the homilies that repeating lies about someone is a sin????
