in our diocese, confirmation occurs about junior year of high school - so 15-17 is common here - the thinking behind the later age is that confirmation is accepting the promises given on the candidates behalf at baptism, and should be a rational, reasoned decision on their part

haha me too. I wish i was maronite. It's soo hard to get it in peoples heads that Melkite Byzantines are united to the Church hahaha.
