Reverse osmosis is about the only thing that can take the bite out of our water, and sadly, I can't afford to buy a tank.

Brita won't do it.
For those of us not fortunate enough to live in Canada it's $1.00/5-gallon bottle, it's a great deal and a great workout if you wait and buy two of those per trip to the water-mart.

My tap water is ok.

But the city of buffalo actualy has to put chlorine in its water, cause of all the leaks and such. But i dont drink from the tap, I have a water fiddler that we keep in the fridge :D

Lake erie is disgusting though, you cant even eat the fish from there (or shouldnt)

I grew up on well water, but we have city water now. We had it tested when we moved here and the meter actually said "not fit for human consumption." We started drinking bottled water after that. Then we wised up and got an RO system and a water softner. Much cheaper in the long run.

You know, ever since I drank cigarette-butt flavored water, I have not complained about anything else, really. I mean I grew up on tap water, and drink it to this day. No problems that I know of. Well, I mean other than the obvious, non-water realated ones.

Our city water comes from two main wells--one is slightly radioactive (and by slightly, I mean the government says children and pregnant women shouldn't drink it) and the other is contaminated with arsenic...

We have a water softner, and it softens the water. Without it, our water would be hard.

To be quite honest with you, I never noticed our water tasted like minerals mixed together with H2O. Then I saw that it was mineral infested (hey Florida aquafer, totally the best thing ever, too bad it's illegal to tap into it). So we got a water softener, now all our problems are gone. Except now I have to carry 40 pound bags of salt to feed our water softner monster. Why, oh Floridian law, do you keep me from tapping into the aquafer 6 or so feet below ... why!

God bless,
Mikey
