I think everyone should read Lumen Gentium and Dei Verbum. And if you are in any type of teaching capacity what-so-ever you really need to read the General Directory on Catechesis. Guest Eremite Posted February 11, 2005 Share Posted February 11, 2005 While Vatican II did not exercise the authority of the Supreme Extraordinary Magisterium, it did exercise the authority of the Supreme Ordinary Magisterium, and is infallible by the very fact that it is a Council.
