Benedict
Augh, I was blessed never to have had any of those sorts of experiences being a girl, though there was a time I visited a friend at NU and his roomate "gave him the room" for the night. We kept telling him it wasn't necessary. (yes, we slept in separate beds!) LOL, in the am the roommate knocked wanting to know if it was ok to come in. He just didn't get that we weren't having sex even the opportunity was there. Nor did he understand how we could be just friends. Sigh....
My roommate asked me about that as soon as someone mentioned I had a girlfriend. "How long have you been together? Does she ever come over here? Do you ever spend the night over at her place? Does she have an apartment?" Five minutes after meeting me the guy is, to quote the phrase, "all up in my business". Lucky for me, my bookshelf pretty much told him the story. (Where is that in Tradition?, Theology for Beginners, Catechism, Bible, More Biblical Evidence for Catholicism, A Retreat with Benedict and Bernard, Family Cloister: Benedictine Wisdom for the Home, etc.)

Benedict
The <expletive deleted> is not only talking about it more, he is talking about it to a girl on the phone and the girl next door to us in the dorm. I was raised with an almost Victorian sense of morality and manners. Saying beaver dam or hell around women was verboten. This guy is using quite different four-letter words to describe his actions. He has also admitted during the phone conversation that he is "the guy who picks up fat and ugly chicks at the bar." He is completely manipulative but considers himself "a good guy". I have had three roommates in my years at college. The first was a true good guy. He was a very nice guy and he tried real hard to help me out (he was a graduate student while I was a freshman). I had to move out of the dorm to an apartment. The guy who owned the apartment was scummy. I mean that literally. He took a bath and left a four inch ring of scum around the tub. He slept with prostitutes. He stole my food. The experience was so bad I have subconsciously blocked most of the memories from that time. This guy is like the second. He is manipulative. At this moment, I truly believe the world would be better if he was never created. Only twice in my life have I met a person I consider an enemy. Usually, while reading the psalms, I picture the Devil and his demons when the psalmist speaks of his enemies. Only twice have I had a human person that I would imagine as my enemy. This guy and my last roommate. Jesus said, "pray for your enemies." I respond, "this is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?"

Guest
1. Tell the girls. Use small tape recorder if needed. 2. Have them figure out a way to exploit his manipulative ways to get him into a situation he can't get out of. DO NOT let them spill the fact that you told them. 3. Reprimand him so you can feel good about the sabotage. Result --> You become their friend, he is discouraged from such actions, and no more need for violence. Problem solved.
the thing iz the guys talken all stupid like this are usually the guys who arent capable of that type of pimping which in turn...is a good thing....since running through chicks is a bad thing to do tell your roomate to watch cruel intentions now thats how it was done man i love it over privliged rich kids haveing any gurl they want what a wonderfull world we live in...... thank God im ugly....it saved me from alot of trouble... Benedict
Was my prayer answered or not? I came back today after classes to find my roommate and all his stuff gone. (None of my stuff was missing.) His side of the room is still very messy so I will have to clean. I asked my neighbor and she said he moved out of the dorm. I am not totally sure she is telling the truth because I found two notices on the floor from the RA. One is addressed to me saying I will have a new roommate this Sunday. The other was for him and said he had to move across the hall. The only problem is, the room it mentions is a double and both of the current occupants are girls. As bad as he might have behaved, I know for a fact that my school would not make co-ed rooms (except for one instance where the couple was married). I am quite delighted to have my room back to myself for a little while and I relish the chance to have a new, better roommate. However, what influence, if any, have I had on my old roommate and will he experience any change in my absence?

Ash Wednesday
If someone's talking about their exploits or even.... well... doing their deeds, you oughtta play an audio file of a baby crying. I had some a neighbor whose girlfriend would come over. And at night, things wouldn't be exactly quiet. I think one time I turned up my gregorian chant really loud. I wanted to find a sound of a crying baby. But then they moved out.
mamasboy1210
Dude i feel you on this one man. It actually brings tears to my eyes when I here women talk about how much men hurt them. My girlfriend I have now I love so much. I make sure to tell her she is beautiful everyday. The thought of us ever doing anything sexual makes me sick because she is just such an amazing child of god. It was great because we met at a Steubienville Ohio for a catholic youth conference. In school I hear stuff like you hear all the time. Just the other week me and this other guy from my church Zach over heard these girls talking bout thier friend who is being trained to do things sexually by a 23 year old. She is only 15. I really lose faith in mankind lately. Its hard to find good in this world. I fast for women at least once a week so that they may be in happy and looked at as children of god as opposed to objects. Sometimes I just want to run away with my g/f to a peaceful land where there is no judgement.
Benedict
I have heard and read about that before. I even know firsthand that child pornography exists. I mentioned on Jimmy Akin's blog a few weeks ago that only a few things in life bring me to violent thoughts. Looking back at that post, every one of those things is a crime against women. For women and children, that they be saved from the depravaties of man and woman alike: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. Birgitta Noel
I don't know if you all are familiar with E5, but check out http://www.e5men.org they are also fasting for women who are hurt by men. They're an awesome group and any man can join. They have a women's group as well!
