Tink
yeah... I loved the first quarter recovered fumble, that was pretty sweet.
BeenaBobba
but our defense really sucked. Really, really bad.
As a Patriots fan, I don't think the Eagles' defense smells of elderberries at all. Sure, there's always room for improvement, but they did hold us to one first down in the first quater. That's pretty good. I think McNabb was a bit too jumpy last night. Our defense totally took advantage of him. After our Eugene Wilson was injured, Philadelphia's defense should have taken advantage of our inexperienced DBs, but they didn't. Of course, T.O. played superbly, as did Westbrook, but they're the only members of the team who really seemed to step it up. Still, I think Andy Reid and the Eagles played a pretty good game. No, they didn't win, but getting to the Super Bowl and staying in the game against the NFL's newest dynasty is pretty impressive. BeenaBobba
And as for the Patriots' defense, we've got the best all-around defense in the league. That's my humble opinion, anyway. Tedy Bruschi much? I was so happy we got three interceptions off McNabb; and of course, those sacks weren't too shabby, either. Tink
ok, I should have rephrased that; our (the Pat's) defense played poorly yesterday, at least I think so. It was, yes, the best in the league, but judging against how they usually play, it was somewhat of a letdown. We gave away way too many first downs, especially in the last quarter. Of course, we also had some sweet screens. McNabb did pretty well for having a bad ankle, especially on those wide right plays. 4 sacks, 4 turnovers, 24 points, and yet another Super Bowl title. I'm happy!
