Hillary Clinton Collapses

Actually, Hilary Clinton recently said that abortion is "sad and tragic" and has a great deal of respect for those who don't think it should be legal. Methinks she's changing her mind, but since she's a Democrat she's not really allowed.

Anyways, she's in my prayers.

oh my. Do you remember what the buzz was when John Kerry lost? How the Democrats need to moderate their stance if they want to win in 2008? So now she has respect for people who don't believe in the right to an abortion.
Tell me I'm not the only one who sees how transparent Hil's "change of heart" actually is...

but that's not the point I guess.

I find this rather harsh, I'm not a big fan of Hillary but I know one thing, we can't know what is truly in a person's heart and we should not jump to conclusions and think that they are just putting on a show for votes or publicity etc. I'm sorry if I may seem angry at this but I find it highly disrespectful to judge someone's heart when you don't know what's going on inside it.

sorry if I upset you, but I'm not judging her heart, I'm judging her voting record.

It's okay hon, just careful how you word things next time, with what you wrote you were judging what was within her heart not her voting record. Just be more careful next time. ;)

well let me just make it clear that I don't feel it would be right to believe that she is moderating her stance. Her voting record betrays her softer words. She voted against a partial birth abortion ban just recently. and you have to admit, she picked a bad time to start moderating, because all the talk has been if democrats want to win in 2008 they need to be moderate.
So I won't rule out the possibility she is changing, but I am not giving her the benefit of the doubt until I see some votes. I think that's beyond fair.

Yeah but as you can see those votes are in the past maybe she has truly had a change of heart. Only God knows that and we should pray that it is true.

Thy Geekdom Come

You know, I'm not the biggest fan of Hillary Clinton's policies and I realize that a lot of superficial changes probably are taking place within the Democratic party's platform in order to readjust itself and make itself more moderate, but if we have any reason to believe that Hilary is changing, we must pray that she does change in her heart instead of denying the possibility completely. Even if it is one of the superficial changes and she isn't really changing in her heart, we can pray that by adjusting her public profile, she may slowly begin the shift into changing her heart as well. There is never any situation in which we cannot hope and pray for this and it is still our responsibility to pray for her, especially because she has so often rejected our Christian message and especially if God may work through our prayers and even through superficial changes to bring about true conversion.

I would not be faithful had I not first tried to appear faithful...God used superficiality in me to make me see the right in others and the wrong I was hiding within myself. Do not lose hope that He may even do this, if her intentions are indeed superficial and not genuine.

politics...well let's just say that you can't really afford to give people the benefit of the doubt. Sad but true. Only actions matter there, not rhetoric, though rhetoric can fool people into thinking you took action.
