Ash Wednesday

After the day she said "God gave us this planet. It's yours. Rape it." I took her with a big grain of salt.

Good ol' Annie.
Chomsky? he gets picked apart by his own side.
He's a great academic. Got more weight behind his work, than coulter and her babbling BC could ever get.

What is the beef with her? She is pro-life, she is outspoken and she is right.

Her thoughts are closer, in a political sphere, to the thoughts of most Americans than Noam Chomsky.

And she's pretty smart in her own right. Look at her closely and you'll see that your accusations are not all that informed. They are simply a bias that is fueled by the likes of Alan Combs, Al Gore, and Slick Willy.

She is not afraid to disagree with other conservatives. And she most certainly will call out a liberal!!! Holla!!!!

So, your claims that she is all of those things, is not only disingenious, but incredibly callous.

Go Ann; Go Ann G-G-Go Ann!!!

Oh yeah, she's hot too!!! Can you name a liberal that is hot? Certainly not Hilary or Babs Boxer!!!
It frightens me that anybody on Phatmass would consider thinking some cultures are superior to others, being anti-multicultural, anti-ethnic, and anti-Muslim NOT to be characteristics of a racist or even ignorant individual. I don't know whether to puke or pray.
I don't want to go off topic. But racism is defined as
1. The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
  2. Discrimination or prejudice based on race.
Certinaly even you'd have to agree that certain traits in human character or abilitiy is due to race, and some are superior to others. Wihle I'd disagree with character, the ability part would seem to be something you can't over look. Any race in which darker-skin is predimonent you have a higher toleration to skin cancer and dangerous UV light. I don't think you'd disagree this is a superior trait. We are different and we all have our weaknesses and strengths. Some happen to be based on race. I think the context of the word "racist" in that post was reffering to the second defenition. She isn't racist in a discriminatory way, unless you are talking about the French.

Being anti-multicultural is far from a bad thing. I think it causes people to stand-down from cultural values and traditions because you live in a "multicultural" society where they make no sense. This is really a big problem with multireligious communities.

Anti-ethnic. I don't think this makes sense. Everyone has an ethnicity. This goes to both people who used the term.

Anti-muslim. Unlike Jews being a muslim isn't a matter of lineage or faith (you can't be a muslim and hold other beliefs). Islam is a danger to Western society and the world all over. As a Catholic with a family history in a Muslim country, this has always been true. As a Catholic you too must be anti-Islam, which means you must reject the faults of Islam, and those who follow in those faults from spreading those faults. I am not sure if Ann is against muslims because of who they are or because of the errors of Islam though.

God bless,
Mikey

I beleive she's now 42, or something like that.

I actually find her too skinny and "angular" looking for my tastes.

I actually met her while interning at the Human Events newspaper in Washington D.C., but I really didn't know who she was at the time, though her named seemed vaguely familiar.

I later realized this was my brush with celebrity (this was before she became mega-famous)

Her words to me were, "Where are you from? You've got a real Southern accent."

At the meetings, she would speak through a remote conferencing speaker, which someone dubbed an "Ann-Droid."

Anyway, all this has nothing to do with the debate.

Richard i do disagree with you here. I do believe that some cultures are superior to others. It would be in my opinnon a major fault not too. For example the culture spread by the nazis during WWII is hardly equal to the culture of the British Commonwealth at the time. The same could be said for example with the Taliban and the United States. There are such things as superior cultures.

I like ann Coulter- I think shes very good. I doubt she is racist- I think that is just libral rhetoric. And if by any chance she is (which I doubt) I dont agree with that. But otherwise I really like her. She's awsome on Hanity and Colmes (sp?) when she shuts allan up.

I'm not saying Ann Coulter is racist, I was taking issue with a post made by Argent Paladin. Definitively racist attributes? I'd say Michael Filo is technically right, it isn't 'exactly' racist, but 'anti-Muslim' generally mean 'Middle Eastern' given the context of Ann Coulter. And while again I'm not saying I believe Ann Coulter is any of these things, it really makes me sick when somebody thinks being 'anti-Muslim' or 'anti-ethnic' doesn't make a person at the very least ignorant.
