the_rev
Before membres of this phorum, I Edward Lee recant my position on the death penalty. Before I supported the death penalty in the case there was biological, balistical or DNA evidence. However, today in Adv. Bio, we are learning about Forensics, and we watched a movie on Project Innocence. A project where people's trials are re-tried thorugh scientific data. Their was one guy which DNA 95 percent tile linked him to the crime, however after further review, his DNA did not match at all. It is then, with this reason, before the members of this phorum, with God as my witness, I recant my past position on the death penalty. A person behind bars in a secure prison, is no harm to us as people of God. Peace of Christ, Eddie

jiyoung
lee? are you korean perchance? praise God! did you know it costs more to administer the death penalty than it does to have someone spend life in prison? so there's really no logical explanation except to make space. and it's a very sad time in humanity when someone has to die for logistics. popestpiusx
Before members of this phorum, I PSPX hereby reaffirm my position on the death penalty (namely, that it is a morally permissable form of punishment). crusader1234
I'm in favour of the death penalty hinging on two things: 1) concrete evidence 2) the person cannot be contained behind bars. Oh wait, that never happens. :peace:, Rich
Benedict
Their was one guy which DNA 95 percent tile linked him to the crime, however after further review, his DNA did not match at all.
As a forensic scientist, allow me to say that a 95 percentile DNA match is garbage. GARBAGE!! I stand, to some degree, with popestpiusx. The death penalty is a morally permissible avenue of punishment. Edited January 29, 2005 by Benedict
Apotheoun
The death penalty is a part of the natural moral law and no power on earth can declare its use to be illicit. God bless, Todd
