popestpiusx
That's what I say. So I guess the answer to your question would be yes (if I am to be counted as a "people").

theculturewarrior
I say it. I find that these improvised reconciliation rites are one of the most annoying all the newfangled abuses. I haven't found a priest going by the books yet in my diocese...they rarely ask for an act of contrition!
theculturewarrior
I say it...and then I wait for a blessing...which is usually, "...okay?"
traichuoi
i say it.
marielapin
I still say it just like that, followed by "it has been _____ (time) since my last confession" although only a few priests have given me a blessing.
marielapin
I say it...and then I wait for a blessing...which is usually, "...okay?"
yeah I get the same.
dUSt
This is what I say: "Bless me father for I have sinned. It has been one week since my last confession."
theculturewarrior
just offhand...I think the blessing is optional. Man it's be nice though. The only time a priest ever offered me was an FSSP priest...and I cut him off out of force of habit. BTW, I don't consider myself a latin masser...but confession with an FSSP priest is excellent...well in my case it was...because he actually judges your sins. It's medicine for scruples. Balthazor
I say it too.... but I always end up estimating time between confessions. I can never remember
homeschoolmom
I didn't realize it was "optional"
