argent_paladin
Love, according to Thomas Aquinas, is an infused theological virtue, that is, a continuous habit, given by God and directed towards God. It is, therefore, more related to act than to feeling. This is illustrated when Jesus directed us to love one another and to love God. One cannot direct someone to feel a certain way, but one can direct someone to act or behave a certain way. So it is no excuse to say that one doesn't feel like loving a person and "you can't force love". Love is an act of the will, and one can decide to love someone, one can choose to love someone. Love is an action. Love is willing the good for another
karin
Love how i understand it: Love is being willing to die for someone else. But to love like God loves you have to Love without expecting anything in return. that is perfect love. Love is more than just an emotion. Love is a choice. When you love someone you want to do things for them even if you know that they will never appriciate it. is that right?
