rachael
somehow someone got ahold of our credit card info on ebay and spent upwards of $500 before we found out...
IcePrincessKRS
I occasionally buy, usually if I'm looking for something specific.... and I do my research before I bid. It drives me nuts when people bid huge ammounts over what the item is actually worth when I'm bidding and hoping to get a deal on it. lol (I'm sure the sellers LOVE it, though. lol) Hey Rach, Matt saw a copy of your avatar pic in an issue of Smithsonian magazine and he said "Hey! That picture is from PhatMass!" lol

journeyman
There are a lot of books available on E-bay - especially older ones - and sometimes they are not recognized for what they are, so no one bids on them . . . you have to search for items a couple of different ways - when the seller doesn't know what it is and just calls it "old book" you need to look at the picture or the longer description to recognize what they have. The Catechism is often available ('94 or '95 edition) - Older missals - including Tridentine Mass missals - Thomas a Kempis' Imitation of Christ - I picked up several older canon law volumes there I usually compare prices to Amazon (which also has used books for sale) and other used book sites (biblio.com pcpbooks.com) to make sure I don't get carried away. Tony
I remember yahoo used to have an auction site.. no fees or anything, or anything. There was not much of a last minute frenzy either so it was easy to get somethng for dirt cheap.... then yahoo charged the sellers a fee and the system went to hell lol
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
My best buy on a Book was my 1957 D-R Bible for 50 cents... but that was at the Church "Garage Sale" it was a MASSIVE garage sale...
