hyperdulia again
This is obviously turning into a debate...I won't continue it here.
k.
Thy Geekdom Come
I'm sure there is a law against this sort of thing. Money is something that is exchanged for goods and services, it is not a means of advertising. If it was, all sorts of negative messages would appear on one dollar bills, messages the Catholics would be up in arms about. In any case, it would attract negative publicity. It's a cheap, tacky way of advertising, and probably illegal. Not even Pro Choice or neo Nazi movements stoop to this kind of lowliness, so neither should we.
Homer: Awww...a dollar! Homer's brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services. Homer: Like what? Homer's brain: Peanuts. Homer: Mmmm...peanuts...

wopsim
Another tricky issue about the whole "defacement of money" issue. What about those "squish a picture into a penny" machines you find at theme parks, zoos and other places? They obviously render the penny to an unuseable form (unlike stamping a phrase on a dollar bill such as Phatmass)
i made i penny to be 36 inches long before... and it was around an inch wide... not sure though... Dreamweaver
have you seen anyone try to spend those?
I know some people who unknowingly passed on a counterfeit $20. Police and a private eye showed up at their apartment and searched through EVERYTHING, even though they had no knowledge of the money being counterfeit. They even took away their computer and printer to examine them. At that point, the guy said he was glad he never saved any pictures of money on his computer, even joke ones with Homer as president or something. The Feds take some things quite seriously. Obviously there's a difference between writing "whereisgeorge.com" on the margin of a dollar and the high resolution scanning of money.

Mrs. Bro. Adam
What a sweet idea for promotion. The average dollar bill goes through 7,000 diff hands before its worn out. Just by writing Phatmass on 10 dollar bills you spend in one day, you have exposed the site to 70,000 people before that dollars life is up. Next time you pay for KCF or McDonalds, make sure you pay with the Phatmass.com dollar!
Not to break the mood, but I thought you weren't supposed to write on bills, cause that's defacing government property? I could be wrong, though...
