homeschoolmom
I think it's harder knowing the Apostle's Creed (which I also grew up with)... you have all kinds of funky things happening...
cmotherofpirl
You were VERY close. We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. 1337 k4th0l1x0r
Two things I spotted: It's 'Eternally begotten of the Father' and 'With the Father and the Son he has spoken through the prophets'

Brother Adam
I think it's harder knowing the Apostle's Creed (which I also grew up with)... you have all kinds of funky things happening...
yeah. that's the problem. I'm a child of the Apostles Creed. We used the Nicene creed like twice a year. The funky thing is, I can do a lot of things, like recite the Nicene creed when I'm not under pressure. When I'm under pressure though. Memorization is my worst area. I have to literally memorize it word for word, comma to comma. I don't have good 'recall' ability.
cmotherofpirl
I hate when we switch from saying this one to the Apostles Creed because then I end up with some weird hybrid version..
Brother Adam
yeah. I'm doing a lot better- last night I couldn't get past "We believe" cause I kept saying the Apostles creed. But still have a ways to go.
cmotherofpirl
It is so much easier singing it in Latin
Brother Adam
lol. now imagine if i put the whole thing down in latin. Actually he couldn't penalize me. He didn't specify a language. And he'd have to do footwork to make sure it is right.
cmotherofpirl
Amen. Brother Adam
I just did that by memory, what I could remember so the spelling is probably off. I've written almost 15 pages, studied the book of Genesis and am memorizing about 50 people/places, memorized the Nicene Creed, memorized passages of Aristotle and Socrates, and read 3 encyclicals. All in two days. and its only week one. blah.
Birgitta Noel
Oooh, good for you! I turned an 8 page paper into a 19 page paper this weekend in the midst of the inlaws descending upon us. That said, I'm too tired and headachey to check your list (sorry) but I will point out one error that I noticed, the book of Micah, shouldn't that be Raphael? :rotfl: I crack myself up. Ok, I'm just tired :leave: back to my paper so I can get some sleep before my full day of class tomorrow. Hang in there! You're doing a great job!
