A Couple Of Prayers

I probably should post this to the prayer board, but being that I have a lot of things coming up that you might be inclined to respond to, I figured it would be easier this way.

First, if it is not too much trouble, I ask that you offer a Hail Mary for me this Sunday as I will be installed as Acolyte at 3:00 P.M. It is the second minor order on the road to the priesthood. The next "order" after that is diaconate. So, if it is not too much trouble, I ask that you offer a Hail Mary on my behalf.

Also, keep me in your prayers next week as I have two exams and that talent show I spoke about on previous occasions. It is confirmed, I will be juggling, both literally and figuratively, especially in light of the exams of two of the most challenging classes: Ecclesiology and Pauline.

Finally, if it is not too much of a problem I ask that you offer a prayer that given my rather full schedule that I have the perseverance and the continuing presence of God, especially when it is during those times it is easiest to feel little less than numb.

Like I said, a Hail Mary is fine, if you remember, and if you feel so inclined to do so.

Thanks a lot!

BTW, this means you will not be seeing me around here that much, at least not until exams are over, Acolyte is done, a few of the papers coming up are completed, and I finish reading the novels I need to read for that Sacramental Themes class.

Ahhh, the life of a Second Year Theologian....Doh! ;)

God Bless

Too much trouble to pray for a seminarian? Theo, that's laughable. Anyone who thinks its troublesome to pray for the people that will lead the church needs a smack in the face. You, and your collegues (sp?) will definitly be in my prayers.

BTW, what seminary are you at? I only ask because I'm visiting Kenrick-Glennon Seminary this weekend in St. Louis and, God willing, will be enrolling there next fall.

Kenrick is nice from what I have heard. Just saw a guy who left here to go there last night, he loves it there. As to my seminary, I only provide that information through email since I don't like posting things like that on a public forum, more for the protection of the diocese, seminary, and bishop.

Thanks all for the prayers!

BTW, I accidentally posted it under Debate Forum meant to do so under Open Mic...ah well. If you need me, you know where to find me.

God Bless

I completely understand. Is it okay if I drop you an e-mail to ask you some personal questions about discernment? I've found it helpful in my search to talk with guys at the seminary and priests to get there take on things.

Yeah, no problem at all. Feel free. I may not get a chance to immediately respond, so don't think I am ignoring you. Whatever questions you have, I would be more than happy to help you out.

OK I am leaving for real this time....gonna even sign out :)

God Bless
