Guest flowery
what are the 7 Holy Days of Obligation in the Church? i could not find them all. Then, when looking it up, found out there are 10? i know that many may not be observed (when reading there was 10) due to the USCCB? and i also understand some may land or get pushed to be celebrated on a Sunday due to how it falls on the Calender...... i was looking more for the list of the 7, if that is the correct number we observe. thanks so much! Pio Nono
JMJ 1/16 - Second Sunday flowery, In America, there are six Holy Days of Obligation. They are... 1.) The Solemnity of Mary (Jan. 1) 2.) The Ascension of Our Lord (40 Days After Easter / Seventh Sunday of Easter) 3.) The Assumption of Our Lady (Aug. 15) 4.) All Saint's Day (Nov. 1) 5.) The Immaculate Conception (Dec. 8) 6.) The Nativity of Our Lord (Dec. 25) However, there are different lists for different countries. Canada, for instance, does not observe the Immaculate Conception as a Holy Day of Obligation. Hope this helps. Yours, Pio Nono
