homeschoolmom
Okay, my six year old son is into this phase where he says some weird thing and then says, "That's just an expression... it means___ " for example, he told me the other day that he was growing a baby brain... that's just an expression... it means he's extra smart. He's been doing this for a week. And I'm having trouble writing them all down.

homeschoolmom
I think he just likes to make up weird things... Or maybe his trying to be as confusing to me as adult expressions are to him...
XIX
Baby brain? I'm sorry but I hope there is nothing wrong with a male who realizes cute when he sees cute. :infant:
homeschoolmom
He explained it as in addition to his own brain, he had a second 'baby' brain... thus making him extra smart... but don't worry... it's just an expression...

crusader1234
I understood the baby brain thing, but I think you should encourage this as its pretty innovative and combine that with homeschooling and youve got an entrepreneur in the making
homeschoolmom
Oh, I love his expressions, too. And I highly encourage it. It gives me great insite into his thinking... There was one this morning that I didn't quite understand, I think it was something about going to Target today but we'd "have to see how the traffic goes" that's an expression that means how busy we get. It's just funny when he tells me that it's an expression. He sounds like a 35 year old in a 6 year old's body...
crusader1234
Luckily for him, argyle and sweater vests are 'cool'

homeschoolmom
We went shopping for new church clothes and he wore his tie all afternoon... I think he even tried to wear it to bed until I mentioned that it might strangle him...
