G-Freak12
I was just thinking Pham, How can a preist help me if he has never been abused?? Because if he has never been abused then how would he be able to answer my question "I'm stuck on what to do because I want to get help but i donr have the strength to but i know i need it because I know ill end up killing myself or someone else or someone killing me" I dont know how someone can aswer that question if they've never been in a situation like that
homeschoolmom
So, basically no one can help you unless they've been on the verge of suicide/homocide? Priests are a great weath of knowledge and resources...
G-Freak12
What I mean is.... if one of my friends were raped for example and they went to me for advice on how to get over it I would not know what to tell them beyond the well known statment "its not your fault, I'll listen if you want to talk" I would think it would be the same with a preist who has not been through the situation that ive been through
G-Freak12
(What I said about one of my friends being raped was only an example jttu)
rachael
why don't you go and try it instead of just assuming what your experience is going to be like?
homeschoolmom
That is because you don't have the training to deal with the condition of people's souls. A priest is able to help you deal with the condition of your soul. It's his specialty.

G-Freak12
I'm still TERRIFIED that he'll tell someone, like my parents or the cops or Childrens aid despite everyone saying preists cant say anything I dont trust people because I'm afraid they'll hurt me like most people hae
dUSt
When someone is close to a situation, they know enough about it to be able to help. For example, say my best friend went to prison. He gets out and tells me all about it. How you have to act. What rules you have to follow. How to avoid getting beat up, etc, etc... Now, I've never been to prison, but I now know enough about what it's like to be able to give the same advice to someone else--even though never having experienced it myself. The same goes for a priest. Same goes for counselors. They are able to help with certain situations simply because of their education, training and dealings with other people who have personally went through what you might be going through. God bless. homeschoolmom
Maybe try calling him on the phone annonymously until you feel you can trust him. Or go meet him in the confessional behind the screen.

G-Freak12
thanx...There is one peice of information about my situation however that if I tell a single soul I know will ruin my life forever I not dare try to tell anyone what that peice of information is but that peice of information is part of the whole "catch" of my situation and even if i were to call a preist an. he would still know where im from and then that will give him a clue as to the certain "peice of information" im sorry I can't tell ANYONE what it is.... if a preist was told a peice of information that is VERY HIGHLY ILLIGAL most likely the most illigal thing that exists would he tell anyone? even though IT'S VERY ILLIGAL(I dont mean rape, abuse, drugs or any other form of well known illigal act)
homeschoolmom
no, but he will counsel you with what to do with this information...
