No, I'm in Australia, in a country town in the forests of south west Western Australia. Never been to the UK.
In fact I've only been outside of Australia once and that was to Malaysia for a week in 1997.

It's funny - you're the first person to think that about me over the internet. Non-Australians, including people from the UK, often think that about me when they hear me speak (in fact they often assume it).
I have to tell them - "No, I'm Australian born and so were my parents".
I found out in my late 20's that the type of Australian accent spoken by my family and 10% of Australians is similar to southern English.

God bless
Robert

Hmmm, very interesting! Thanks for sharing. I've heard Australia is beautiful, though I've never been.

Enjoy your time off. Birgitta
I still get urges to touch statues. Isn't that weird?
Nope not at all. That is cool and a "child-like" faith.

I really have tried to look beyond statues now and try to grasp what that person or picture really means.

Btw the kids thing is awesome.

Any of you ever read Blessed Child by Ted Dekker?

Robert,

Don't know, perhaps I just had you confused in my brain with someone else I know from online? Can't think of any other real reason! Sorry ^_^

How was your time away?

Good !

Today when we genuflected before the tabernacle Luke (6 years) didn't genuflect - he prostrated himself and so did his sister Therese(5 years).
I thought I better do the same.
(BTW, I always say "This is the way we show our love for Jesus in the tabernacle").

I was the Acolyte and there were no Altar Servers so when it came to clearing the credence table, Luke, Therese and their little brother Louis helped me with it all. They carried out the lavabo dish, cruets, towel, and the tabernacle key while I carried out the ciboriums and chalices.

We said the prayers but this time it was just Therese, Luke and myself. (BTW, we also ask the Saints with our names to pray for us, e.g St Therese of Lisieux).

Luke brought a set of rosary beads and then went straight to Father to ask him to bless them. I thought "How many 6 year olds would do that". Father did a little blessing right there in the sacristy.

His mother said "Another set of Rosary beads, Luke !".

Children are so wonderful!
And people were bringing chilren to him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw theis he became indignant and said to them "Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it." Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them. Mark 10 : 13-16
I wrote part of my paper on Jesus's relation with children based on a few sections in Mark. Essentally the paper was opinionated (my interpritation) but with Bible refrences. Should I post it?

God bless-
