Q the Ninja
With Plato, anything's possible. J/K...there are three instances that I've been taught about that imply a guardian-angel-like creature (daimones) are mentioned.

Guest JeffCR07
also, it is fairly clear by his later work that, if anything, Plato detested the God's of Greek mythology. It is more than likely that Plato's "belief" was in the Logos rather than the Gods of antiquity. I heard a very interesting discussion of how it could be argued that Plato was much like a secular John the Baptist. - Your Brother In Christ, Jeff

Dreamweaver
In the book Angels and Devils, there are several stories of famous saints who were able to see their guardian angel. They described that if they looked at their angel during times of prayer and during Mass, they would get a very stern, disapproving stare for not focusing on Christ. This has definately made me think twice about squirming or getting distracted as Mass.
JazzforJesus
im sure my angel would be drumming his fingers on the pue in front of me. during the readings i pay attention to least half but after something is said my mind might go off on a tagent. i usually get back in at the end. Wish i was better at that. other times i am good at keeping my focus on God and his words.
Q the Ninja
St. Joseph of Copertino may have had an archangel for his guardian angel.
Archangel
You might as well ask this about God if you don't believe in his angels. Well I tried praying to God, but I don't feel him, I can't see him, I can't hear him, or smell him, or taste him, or perceive him using any one of my sensories. Do we really have a sixth sense, that can pick up on the supernatural? It's almost as if God doesn't exist, but is more to comfort us in times of badness. And if God is so protective, why is it Christians still get murdered, crushed in car crashes, bashed to death, shot, raped blah blah blah? Where's God? JazzforJesus
Faith... being sure in what you hope for. We use the bible to answer our questions and in the bible there is alot of proof that there is Angels. but then you might say ok so there are angels but how do I know I have an guardian angel and he has a guardian angel. thats where faith comes in once again. You just need to have faith that there is someone standing beside you, watching over you like a secret service man. I like what ironmonk found about guardian angels. very intresting. God wants you to come to him and satan wants you to turn from God and become fallen. This is going on constantly. God gives us Guardian angels to help win our souls from evil. Benedict
Remember to leave room on your pillow each night for your guardian angel. Keeping up with you all day is tiring work.
StColette
topics like this call to mind verse Jn 20:29 where Jesus tells Thomas, Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe. I believe this really goes into play with this topic, seeing how we can't see our Guardian Angels, though there are of course the special few who are given the graces to be able to see them. Anyway my point is that even though you can't see something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And just because bad things happen to good people doesn't mean Guardian Angels don't exist.
