Guest Aluigi Posted January 10, 2005 Share Posted January 10, 2005 no, that's God's job. all we can do is say that they are in extreme danger of damnation over certain actions. it's more prudent to assume they are in need of confession after a grave sin than to presume they are not culpable. so on the safe side, lean towards culpability. but you can't do that too much or you can get overscrupulous and into a state unhealthy for you. anyway, judge not lest ye be judged. I add though, that there is a difference between judging an action (which we can do) and judging the soul of an individual (for which we are forbidden to do). I think that aluigi explain this though.
