Plus, I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable in an "upper class" neighborhood I don't think. I'm use to living in trailer parks and ghettos.

Actually, I was thinking about the kids when deciding on the first one. See, it's one story. The second one is 2 stories. All the people I've asked who have a 2 story tell me that it's not good for bringing the family close together because the kids spend all their time upstairs and nobody ever sees eachother...

Also, the first house is part of a homeowner's association--a pool, tennis court and yardwork are all included. Although it smells of elderberries having to pay the fee every month, we thought it might be worth it if we utilize the pool a lot (and my wife won't have to mow the grass anymore).

You're right about the 2 story thing. I spent most of my teenage years shut up in my upstairs room. And trailer parks and ghettos are cool.

Well, I suppose that's better.

I didn't meant to imply that you weren't thinking of the kids, by the way...just giving my input.

I never thought about the family issues in a multi-level home...I had three levels on my house and I suppose I can see how it might have caused trouble.
The kitchen is in the middle of the house. It's like the center axis.

Here's the other house we'll bid on if we don't get this one:

It's in a better part of town, next to a park and even a little cheaper--it just doesn't have that old feel to it--and no stone walls. haha
We got the house.

They accepted our offer which was $19,000 less than what they were asking.

Yay! I can't wait to get moved in so I can start to move forward on all the phatmass projects that have been on hold the last few months!

DancesforLove

I like them both. They are both gorgeous, I love the hardwood floors, we are about to put some in our house.

I'd say number two because I'm so picky about neighborhoods lol we turned down a REALLY nice two story house a couple of years back for a COMPLETE fixer upper just because of the neighborhood lol
