Dirty Diapers and the Lord's Mercy

I was changing my little boys diapers last week. Let's just say it was a particularly stinky one. In my nausious state, holding my nose and feeling like I might have to bend down to the great porcalin one, it occurred to me that the smell for me probably was not half as bad as the stench of the sins that God has cleaned up and rooted out of my life. In a sense it seems he knows exactly what changing a diaper is like and in fact I think it is a little justice on people like myself that he has done so much for.

Praise him.

Blessings

Brother Adam

What is even more sobering is that a baby is basically innocent. The mushy mud pie. It's natural. We choose to sin.

Interesting Thess and true. He's cleaned a lot in mine and very smelly stuff at that.

Like hsmom, I too won't look at changing nappies the same way again.

In fact, I don't I'll be able to not think of your post whenever I change a pooey nappy at the centre, babysitting or cm.

(You got a good one. Some of them are particularly fragrant)

They're still so cute even when you're cleaning up their mess.

Hey God probably looks at you the same way.
("Isn't she cute - I made her, you know")

But the mess still has to be cleaned up.

Good thoughts, both of you . . . and if it is a divine message - I'm not through changing diapers yet . . . :o
