Hi! Welcome! Have a look around and ask away! Most of us here are still learning as you can see!

Not sure how you found the Pham, but since there are no such things as coincidences it's GREAT that you're here!

Much Love! Birgitta Noel

Actually I just did a yahoo search, or maybe ask, for Catholic forums or something like that. I had had some real interesting disccussions on a forum that was similar, but couldn't remember the name of it. So..Here I am. Its all b/c of a conversation I had with a Catholic coworker a few nights ago. It sparked an old interest. When I was looking into it before I was living at home and regularly attending a Baptist church. I had bought a really good book about the Church, that dissapeared shortly after my dad found me reading it. Now I'm not involved in any church and not at home so maybe I can find what I'm looking for.

On a side note, I chickened out of going to mass this morning. I've only been twice before, and I'm a scaredy cat :sadder: I thought I'd just confess.

And Thank You Everyone for the warm welcome!

Hi, I'm Doug . . . There are a ton of references here (somewhere near the apologetics page - around here apologetics doesn't mean "I'm sorry" it means this is what I believe and why), and don't forget the converts page - that is where you'll find (or can post) the stray question from the converts asking why the cradle Catholics do THAT?

Maybe your co-worker can take you to Mass . . . and be your sponsor for RCIA . . . it helps to have a friend you can talk things over with . . . and then there is the Phamily here . . . we're Phriendly too

[quote name='Honour' date='Jan 8 2005, 12:09 AM'] Thanks thessalonian,
I am going to need all the resources I can get my hand on... The world I want to explore is overwhelmingly vast and completely alien. I have become so comfortable with everything I thought I knew about God that I disgust myself. I've always been so comfortable in my religion, its going to be good to be a little scared for a while. The Church is just like a stained glass cathedral... no matter how huge and foreboding it might look on the outside, it is only on the inside that you can see it's majesty, grace, and beauty to its full extent. ^_^
