BA stands for bachelor's of arts, and BS stands for bachelor's of science. Not sure why your's would be a BS, maybe it depends on what school you go to.

Anyways, I'm majoring in biotechnology and minoring in chemistry.

I dropped out of a triple major in Biblical Studies, Missionary Aviation, and Aircraft Maitencance...
Yeah Bible college was not for me.
So now I am trying to get my Electrical Engineering degree while working full time in the Air Force.

yeah, I know... just wondering why some colleges would consider teaching an art and some a science...

homeschoolmom-
I know that where I went, the adolescent(secondary) education students received a BA and the childhood (elementary) received a BS. IF you were studying adolescent ed you took less education and more subject specific, where as a childhood ed major studied more education. I don't know if it is the same everywhere or not.

JMJ
1/8 - Second Saturday of Christmastide

Majors: Philosophy, Catholic Studies
Minor: Theology

I was pursuing a Latin minor for a time, but the classics department tried to hose me down, so I dropped it like a bad habit.

Majored in theology for all my degrees, one with an emphasis on marriage & family studies.
Minored, as an undergrad, in studio art (printmaking).

If I see something humorous, am I reading too much into that phrase

double major: BA in journalism (no concentration at the time - but I did have a lot of fun at the radio station - and the newpaper) and politics (no pretension that it was science) . . . followed by a JD . . . followed by a long period of study at the school of hard knocks
