EcceNovaFacioOmni
Appears to be another site of the Joe Mizzi caliber. Has anyone ever emailed him? His apologetics are terrible too. At least knowbody goes to this site. I think the admin is the forum's only member. I'd love to ambush this guy if we could.
Katholikos
Hi, Dude -- Thanks for posting the URL for this site. I wrote to him (her?). Legion of Mary is mostly women. Here's what I said: Well, I read your testimony. Will you read mine? Please go to http://www.chnetwork.org Click on "converts," then on "Jay Damien" At the same place, be sure you also read the testimony of James White's sister, Patty Bonds, who recently became a Catholic. You've gotta know who James White is! He's a professional anti-Catholic and the best Protestant apologist in the U.S. "Talk" to you soon, I hope. Jay Damien Ex-Southern Baptist, ex-agnostic, ex-atheist, ecstatic to be Catholic!

†tsuj-cM
You know whats crazy? We have all the proof that our Church is the true Church and they toss it to the side for something "Easier to believe" "an empty version of Catholicsm" (Protestantism)
Katholikos
You know whats crazy? We have all the proof that our Church is the true Church and they toss it to the side for something "Easier to believe" "an empty version of Catholicsm" (Protestantism) I call lay people that leave "Know-Nothing Catholics," because they usually don't know what the Church teaches or why, or the history of Christianity, or the history of the Bible. They often have a confict over morality. Protestantism lets them justify their behavior. Contraception, abortion, fornication, masturbation, divorce and remarriage, no matter what sin they want to commit, they can find a Protestant "church" that approves it. Their prayer is, "My will be done . . ." Or they are retalliating against their parents. They have authority issues. The priests that leave are usually in trouble over their behavior. The ex-nuns are usually (sometimes misbehaving) Know-Nothings. Many that claim to be ex-priests and nuns really weren't ordained or professed, though some were. To know and understand the Church, her teachings, and her history is to love it. Surrender to the Will of God is a good and glorious thing. EcceNovaFacioOmni
I have no worries, our Church is right. If we keep it up, they'll tell us to go away, that is the most victory you will get out of them. Joe Mizzi wasn't converted but he couldn't refute my replies. I just looked at his site again and noticed he has a "testimonies" section. He claims that women who get abortions are shunned by the Church. What a moron. I don't think he was ever a Catholic as he claims or maybe just a really bad one.
Katholikos
Mizzi and others set up "straw men" -- false statements about what the Church teaches -- then proceed to argue against these false premises as if they were true. They believe that they are true, and refuse to believe they're not true, no matter what proof one offers. As Father Abraham said, "If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead" Mt 16:31.
