Actually, the local bar president said it to me in an interview, and I quoted him on it, which is when one of my co-workers saw it and started mocking the bar pres., and then me for supporting him. I always seem to get the people who mix up cliches ... like once I interviewed a woman who told me she was "between a rock and a molehill." Now that's comedy.
