voiciblanche
Tim Armstrong is in the Transplants, you know, the guy from Rancid. Rancid is, unfortunatly pro-death...
I know. I don't know if it's Tim or the other guy that's pro-death, or if they're all pro-death. Perhaps I will just stay away from the Transplants. Lounge Daddy
Voici is dead on with Crashdog Just dismiss their last album “cashists fascists and other fungus” – the last cd was made after the front man, Spike Nard (who pretty much wrote the songs and lead the band) left the to focus on more hands-on youth work in Chicago… and then the band’s sound went from old-skool punk to a typical generic (and disappointing) hard-core sound “mud angels” is my personal favorite Crashdog album also check a band called The Lead if you can find em they were pretty far underground Christian punk from Texas I think some of the songs were in Spanish and a girl did some of the vocals, and she kicked it hard the cd I remember hearing was titled “burn this record” this band rocked they were hard-core and up front and then there is the The Crucified – who had a huge cult following but they had some anti-Catholic songs – and then the front man (who wrote most of the songs) did admit after the band broke up that looking back he was uneducated and ill-informed on some of the material he wrote lyrics for and had some regrets -- too bad for us he hasn’t done much to fix those regrets (to my knowledge) … yet *** on the non-punk side – there was a pretty heavy thrash band called Seventh Angel that had a pro-life song that just ripped – it was awesome and emotional and to the point to the life of me I cannot remember the name of the track – but when it comes to me ill post it

DemonSlayer
Atreyu is definitely not Christian, in fact they are anti-Christian, I looked up their lyrics about a week ago. I've heard that Norma Jean might tour in Australia with them, I just hope that it's with another band who isn't anti-Christian.
DemonSlayer
Comeback Kid's a pretty good Christian hardcore punk band, but their guitarists are from a Christian hxc band called Figure Four who said in an interview that they hate religion... Antskeptic is great punk rock band from Australia who are Christians.

corban711
peace be with you! i could be crazy...but i think that at least a few of the members of Thrice must be Christians. Here is some evidence i have built up...look at the studio journal. The guy named his dog Lucy after Lucy in the Chronicles of Narnia. On his playlist (things he is listening to): The Screwtape Letters read by John Cleese. On his reading list are two books by C.S. Lewis Of Other World's and The World's Last Night. They also have a song that has the same title as a C.S. Lewis book called The Abolition of Man. The song "as the ruin falls" was a poem by C.S. Lewis. Oh yeah...I almost forgot..."Hideous Strength" sounds strangely like the book from the Space Trilogy "that hideous strength" also by Lewis. Okay...so all this proves is that these guys LOVE C.S. Lewis, maybe they aren't Christian. But I have never known anyone who has read that much Lewis who weren't either good Catholics or some form of practicing Christians. That is a whole bunch of C.S. Lewis and some of those works are blatantly Christian. Also, since Thrice began...even before they were big, they have donated proceeds from their cd sales to different charities. Given all this...I am believing they are Christian (or at least some of them are). I am not the type of person who tries to "make" cool bands Christian by reading into their stuff because I wished they were Christian. I just think that Thrice has several obvious references to Lewis, they love his works and I think that is more than just coincidence.

KatFromSVDP
Oooooh this is a fun post! haha My FAVORITE band is......... PHILMORE! They are so awesome! A Christian punk type of band. Not sure if they're Catholic, but they sing about waiting for the girl Jesus has saved for them (The Fishy Song) and on their wedding day about being chaste (Worth the Wait) and other stuff. They're not very big, but you can buy their CDs on their website.. www.PlanetPhilmore.com Another band I like is Relient K. They're not really punk.. more pop-punk I would say.. haha But they're really good too. I don't know if they're Catholic but they are Christian. Hope ya'll like em!
