cathqat
I'm curious what kind of religious jewelry people wear on a regular basis, and how much. Feel free to describe your items in a post, especially if it is something especially dear (e.g. heirloom or gift) or interesting/unusual. I always have on a crucifix and two medals. The crucifix is an eight-point one which says "protect and save" in Russian on the back. The first medal is a triquetra, representing the holy Trinity. The second medal is a spiked wheel, representing St. Catherine of Alexandria. These are not actual photos of my items, but convey the gist/shape:
gonzaga
I wear a crucifix mostly, that my granda gave to me for my 18th birthday. I sometimes wear a 'tug o war' medal my great great uncle( Ithink) won when he was in the 'irish army' back in 1945
Andrea348
just one medal.....it's a medal of St. Ann because I've entrusted my vocation to her. This is what it looks like, but it is gold:
Pope St Clement 1
I wear the cross of my Catholic community (Holy Spirit Of Freedom - a lay association founded in 1986). It's wooden and on the front it has a circle (where the beams cross) representing the Holy Eucharist. Inside the circle is a flame representing the Holy Spirit and at the bottom of the cross are the initials EM which stand for Ecca (spelling?) Maria and that means "behold the mother". (We're a Eucharistic, Charismatic and Marian community) On the back are the words "STREET KIDS" because that's the frontline work of our community. (I work behind the front lines in Children's Ministry). I wear it all the time but sometimes 'in' like when I'm at my day job. I'm wearing it in my profile picture. Unfortunately I don't have a close-up of it. Apart from that I do have a couple of saints medals (others wore off) on my keyring but that's not actually wearing them. cathqat
well no medals but I do wear a brown Scapular
I was going to put scapulars on the poll and decided it would get too long. And they're not jewelry per se. Still, I am glad you mentioned it! Other people who want to mention their scapulars are welcome!

Dreamweaver
I used to wear a Crucifix, a miraculous medal and a scapular for a little while, but they all broke at various times.
Someone should start a jewelry/religious goods company that designs and makes titanium medals/chains/crucifixes/rosaries. I have a Pope JP2 medal, but it fell off the chain. When I find another chain, I may start wearing it again. I think it would be cool to have an unbreakable titanium rosary. Emphasizes that the rosary is a weapon against evil. spathariossa
I wear just a scapular and my benedictine crucifix around my neck. But I've turned my chaplet into something a little odd I must admit. It is 100 black beads with a medal of St. Benedict on it. I got it from a benedictine monastery. But now I've added my St. Jeanne d'Arc medal, my medal of St. Martin of Tours, and a medal of St. Gabriel the archangel. I wrap the chaplet around my wrist and wear it like a bracelet most of the time. I just found myself liking too many saints to wear all of their medals or to alternate or something. I just hope I haven't invented the catholic charm bracelet.
