That's why we need more Catholic filmmakers, and especially scriptwriters!

I sent my brother to Hollywood to become a screenwriter for this very reason.

Listen up, teens: PLAN NOW TO STUDY SCREENWRITING. You are needed in Hollywood. There's a small but thriving Catholic community already there waiting for you.
That's what I'm aiming for, the film industry. Hopefully I'll be a Screenwriter/Director.

Trouble is film-makers and sensationalists have more influence than serious, reputable historians.

We live in an age of lies.

By the way, have you ever read Regine Pernoud's books "Those Terrible Middle Ages - Debunking the myths" and "Women In The Days of Cathedrals".
Actually the only one of Pernoud's books I have read is about my patron saint Jeanne d'Arc. It was a really good book - not at all anti-catholic. Though of course my professor was a total atheist. How someone could stand there and refer to Joan of Arc's miracles as "almost miraculous" is beyond me.

They're great books. If I'm not mistaken ,she was head of the French National Archives. She wrote "Those Terrible Middle Ages" in 1977 because she was fed up with the false representations of the middle ages. Phatcatholic has a link to it in the reference section. They can both be brought from Amazon.com.

I brought copies of both books and gave them to libraries around here (school & public).

With regard to women, she demonstrates that women were better in the middle ages than they were from th 16th - 19th centuries (and I'd say better off than today where their primary value is too often seen as being sexual).

She also has a webpage where she debunks myths & distortions about Joan of Arc

Yeah I knew that too. Thing got bad for women in the 15th century and went downhill until the 20th. It really wasn't so bad for women in the middle ages. In fact, most of the PM girls would fit right in.

I can't begin to tell you how ticked of I'am after reading that article. Friggin Ridley Scott!

One day all this pro-Muslim, anti-Christian garbage is gonna bite these people in the butt.

Let's hope not. If they get Ridley Scott, they're probably coming for the rest of us too

My favorite medieval woman: St. Hildegard of Bingen!

It should already be obvious that my favorite ancient woman is my patron saint, Great-Martyr Catherine!
