Q the Ninja
By waging war there would be a material participation in evil. I don't think the war would keep it remote enough, ergo, we'd all be committing evil acts.
bookwyrm
Why are we still discussing this ridiculous topic? You can't just go around killing people who don't agree with you! Yes, abortion is a terrible evil. Yes, they are sinning by murdering innocent children. Yes, it should and WILL be stopped. By the power of prayer. Then the victory will truly be God's. But we're not going to convince anyone by 'declaring physical war'!!! If you support this idea of declaring physical war, then you might as well support embryonic stem cell research. The argument is the same: take a life to save a life. Am I the only one who finds this ironic? I just don't understand where this mindset even comes from!! Guest Aluigi
God works through us. God worked through wars before. God killed people before and ordered people to kill other people. It wouldn't be a participation in evil because it would be a GOOD. the abortionists have forfeited their right to life by being the cause of others' deaths. the innocent are being mass murdered if i was a german in nazi germany and i was brave enough i'd form a resistance and try to liberate the concentration camps, wouldn't you? it's the same freakin thing., only WORSE because the death toll is even bigger and it's been going on even longer. We should try to stop abortion and abortionists, but is killing them the only way to do so? [quote]i wanna know how the heck pacifism infiltrated the same Church that fought the crusades! Guest Aluigi
not an intrinsically evil act. i don't know where you're coming from here. i submit that if the war had a reasonable chance of sucess it would be justified. all other means having been exhasted of course, but 30 years of means have been exhasted, is there anything new? there's been protests and prayers and marches for 30 years. Guest Aluigi
no, and neither would the point of this war be.
