justfran
What should you do if you have already gone and confessed what could have been a mortal sin (that is, you're not sure that it was deliberate or not), but you feel as though something's missing from your confession? I mean, you've told the priest everything you could remember about it, and you are absolutely sure that you have told him every single detail you could that you believed to be truthful, even after examining your conscience and memory many times, but you're still worried about that sin? Pio Nono
JMJ 12/24 - Fourth Friday of Advent justfran, Any sins repented, confessed and absolved in confession are gone - wiped away, burnt out, dropped into the abyss, squashed, shattered, ripped apart, torn to pieces, sawed in half, run through the shredder, digested, disposed, erased, abolished, blotted out, crossed out, cut out, DELETED (for you Homestarrunner fans), effaced, dispatched, definestrated, gutted, laundered, obliterated, ejected, rubbed out, trashed, slayed, razed, voided, expunged, cauterized and expurgated. At times it can feel like you're not forgiven, but pray to Christ that He send His Spirit of forgiveness and make you know that you're forgiven, and then have faith that you are, whether you feel it or not. Worry not; you've got enough to worry about as it is. Hope this helps; Merry Christmas! Yours, Pio Nono
