Holy Mother Church's loyal opposition

She doesn't seem to want to draw the line between "questioning beliefs" and "dissent". Questioning our beliefs is usually a good idea, as it helps us to dive deeper into the truth and come up with better reasons for believing what we do. It's almost always helpful to say, "Why do I believe this? What is the case against it, and what is a good reason for not accepting that case?" There's something unhealthy about an attitude that says (in the words of a Baptist minister on the radio), "Keep yer question-marks away from Jesus!" However, dissenting is always a bad idea, as it places us directly outside of communion with the Church.

The article is politically correct trash. Communion and dissent are mutually exclusive. What she is arguing for is non-sensical, because it is the same as saying that a man can believe in God and not believe in Him at the same time.

God bless,
Todd
And this is the woman the bishops chose to speak at their meeting in Dallas last year.
That's why I keep praying for them. The Bishops sometimes seem intent on undermining the faith of the Church. I was recently disappointed when I found out that the new American Adult Catechism approved at the last metting of the USCCB uses socalled inclusive language. Clearly that is one book I will not be buying.

God bless,
Todd
I hear rumors that may be even further than a Catechism.
I have heard rumors that the new translation of the Roman Missal may contain, what has been called, horizontal inclusive language, but I pray that the rumors are false.

I thought they shot down the Catechism.

No, the Bishops approved it at the last meeting of the USCCB. There was some controversy at the time because one of the Eastern Eparchs wanted to submit variations to the text based on the theological tradition of the Byzantine Church, but that idea was voted down by the Latin Rite Bishops.

God bless,
Todd
